Woughton Community Council is the council closest to the communities of Netherfield, Coffee Hall, Eaglestone, Tinkers Bridge, Leadenhall, Peartree Bridge and Beanhill. Supporting a population of around 14,000 people, the parish has the highest number of young, old and BAMER residents in the city and is a vibrant and welcoming community.   • Community café and fridge co-ordinator (20 hours per week)

Supporting a population of around 14,000 people, the parish has some challenges but is a vibrant and welcoming community. An innovative and forward-thinking council, we are committed to the highest standards of delivery in everything we do.

This role sits at the heart of the community department, focusing on ensuring that the council priorities of addressing food poverty and reducing waste are met. Working with colleagues from across the council, partners from outside agencies and volunteers, as well as members of the local community, you will be working to develop this project that support access to affordable and nutritious food, providing a welcoming environment and supporting community members and groups (including some already in place) to work collaboratively towards the provision of a Community Café.

  • Advice officer (37.5 hours per week)

This role is a key element of the support offered to residents, providing a safe, supportive service that focuses on finding sustainable solutions to issues, empowering residents to take control and build resilience.

  • Landscape Operative (37.5 hours per week)

The Landscape and Environment team covers the open public spaces across the parish. This role is part of this essential team, delivering landscaping services as part of the devolved responsibilities from MK Council. Ensuring that high standards are assured and that the public spaces are clean, well maintained and visually appealing, sits at the heart of the service and the officers delivering this.

We are looking for an officer to join a team of individuals dedicated to providing the highest quality youth facilities and resources to the youth of the Woughton community council area. To support and deliver a regular programme of diverse opportunities with children and young people that are inclusive, varied and of best practise.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate and enthusiastic about youth services and promoting educational, creative, and social development for our youth.

  • Caretaker (10 hours per week)

Woughton Community Council is the council closest to the communities of Netherfield, Coffee Hall, Eaglestone, Tinkers Bridge, Leadenhall, Peartree Bridge and Beanhill. Supporting a population of around 14,000 people, the parish has some challenges but is a vibrant and welcoming community. An innovative and forward-thinking council, we are committed to the highest standards of delivery in everything we do.

We are looking for an individual to join our caretaking team who take responsibility for all our facilities ensuring they are maintained to best practise, taking pride in our community venues and ensuring they are usable for our residents/service users. Opening and closing for bookings whilst maintaining proper cleaning practises. You will often be ‘deemed’ a representative of Woughton community council acting as a ‘first point of contact’ for people using our facilities so a friendly, amicable personality is necessary.
