WOUGHTON YOUTH SERVICE
WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OUR COMMUNITY TO DELIVER QUALITY SERVICES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AND THEIR FAMILIES.
WHAT WE DO
Woughton's Youth Service is an integrated offer that strives to reach as many children and young people who live, are educated and play within our parish. All sessions are free to residents, most are open access with no need to pre-book or sign up.
Throughout the year, we also offer one off events and activities, often working in partnership with the other Woughton teams or external partners.
It simply isn't possible to design a project or session that can meet every attendees' needs. So, we carefully have created a varied offer for different age groups, different types of interest and identified needs. Generally these fall into three categories:
Play based and Junior Youth Clubs
Senior Youth Clubs and Cafes
Targeted sessions and services for specific groups of young people. (some of these will led by our team, some will be in partnership or by trusted partners).
Alongside regular sesisons, our Youth Team are available for advice, guidance, support and signposting. There is usually someone at our designated Youth Centre at 95 Jonathans, Coffee Hall or you can get in touch with the main officeand who will connect you to the team.
You can also find signposting to external professionals and agencies in the Support Service Directory on the Youth homepage.
Please note, all Woughton Youth Services will require basic contact data and appropriate medical information for all attendees. All of which is collected and stored securely.
Play Rangers & Junior Youth
Play Rangers is our own team of Play Specialists that bring the equipment, the ideas, the resources and the team to an open green space near you for free open access play sessions all year round but predominantly in the school holidays.
Our Junior Youth Groups are usually for children aged 8-12yrs and are designed to be safe spaces to develop Independence and make friends in a fun and supported environment.
Children over 8yrs can play unaccompanied.
Senior Youth Projects & Cafes
Our Senior Youth projects are aimed at young people aged 13yrs and over. They are either Youth Cafes: relaxed safe spaces where young people can spend time with their friends, get some refreshments, access resources and support from trained Youth Workers if they want it.
We also have themed projects to meet different young people's interests, like Music, Sport, The Arts etc. All are Free and Open access.
