YOUTH SERVICE
WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OUR COMMUNITY TO DELIVER QUALITY SERVICES
The team are passionate about seeing local young people develop their skills and raise their aspirations.
Our approach is one of partnerships: with young people themselves, other organisations, with families, guardians, and other professionals. We work with and for our community, involving young people in choices that matter. Our aims are:
• To ensure young people have a voice
• To raise aspirations and improve skills
• To embrace and support diversity and inclusion
• To continually review, respond and improve our offer
The WCC Youth Service aims to offer support to all young people who need it, wherever in the parish they live, work or are educated. Our work, offering support using the most appropriate approaches to young people, no matter where on parish they live, helps reduce divisions across the piece and the territorialism that can lead to difficulties. Encouraging interaction and reducing community tensions are at the heart of our work.
Inclusive and safe
We are led by the needs of our community and respond by focusing on the strengths of individuals and the communities within the parish – we know that Woughton is hugely diverse, and we aim to ensure a welcoming, inclusive approach to all our projects, taking a zero-tolerance approach to discriminatory language and actions. This means that when children and young people attend our services, they know that they are safe, supported, and able to express themselves.
You can use these pages to find details of all our services or download our most up to date online brochure. We have also included a range of links and resources that might be helpful.

Our Junior Youth Club is for 9-12yr olds. It is Open Access, so young people can just turn up. We will ask for a contact number just in case of the unlikley event of an accident and will send a registration and parental consent form home to bring back on their next visit. In our Junior Club we have agreed that youngsters can arrive and leave at anytime but once they leave a session they are not allowed back in. This enables parents to be confident that we are responsible for them all the time they are on site. What children do once leaving is between the family members. *If parents tell us any child cannot leave, they are not permitted to leave until the end / collection time.
Youth Club is young person led, so we listen to what they want to do in their space with their time and team work hard to facilitate their choices. Generally, Eaglestone Juniors has a fairly even mix of sports, games and crafts every week. We have an excellent facility in the courts outside and when weather permits we use this with staff supervising. On a cold or wet day we run around and play larger ball games downstairs in the multi-use spaces. Every week includes a decent snack and plenty of juice, to keep them going as they play.
We are so excited to be working in partnership with the Milton Keynes Music Hub.
We supply access to our fantastic space at no95 (The Youth Centre) Jonathans, Coffee Hall. Which offers a cafe style space to relax with friends, explore and write new music. Lots of high quality music equipment and instruments. The Music service bring two exceptional musicians for young people to play alongside and recieve tuition from. And some nice refreshments.
