About the Garden - Composting

Image of a Food Waste Composter Machine which is located at the Community Garden
The Garden coordinator has worked to worked to get the site operational and it is ready and open for the production of food for our community fridge and community café. We are always looking for volunteers to help with this and for ideas to create a more appealing and engaging space that the community will want to spend time in.
The garden is closely linked to our Community Fridge and Community Café. Since the installation of the composting system we now process and compost the food waste from both the fridge and café at the garden. Our compost is then used in our main beds saving the need to buy fertilizers.
