The Community Garden at Woughton is now up and running and is providing a space for the community to come together at a variety of events over the course of the year.
Please Join us for sowing, watering, weeding and more. The garden encourages you to get outside, meet new people and share the harvest!

About the Garden - Composting
This year the Garden now has a coordinator working to get the site operational and ready for the production of food for our community fridge and community café sessions. Over the winter they underwent online training aim at providing candidates with the skills and knowledge needed to run a successful Community Garden. As well as creating a more appealing space that the community will want to spend time in they have also coordinated activities for the community payback team who have been instrumental in the development of the site.
The garden is now more closely linked to our Community Fridge and Community Café as since the installation of the new composting system we now process and compost the food waste from both the fridge and café at the garden. Our first batch of compost has already gone on to be used in one of our main beds saving the need to buy in fertilizers.
