WOUGHTON ADVICE SERVICE
Offering 1:1 advice on a range of subjects to residents of the parish.
The Woughton Advice Service (also known as 'The WAS') officially opened in 2014 with an aim to enable people in Woughton to have easy access to advice on a range of subjects.
Over the past 8 years, the service has supported thousands of local people with a huge range of issues, saved people money, helped prevent homelessness, brought rogue employers to heel and helped people take control of their lives.
With sessions happening across the parish, it is easy to get an appointment and, if urgent, we can often see you on the same day (although this cannot be guaranteed).
We work with loads of other organisations too, so if we can't help directly, we usually know someone else who can assist.
Woughton Advice Service can provide support for:
Benefits
Debt/money issues
Education and Employment
Referrals and signposting to other services
Form filling (paperwork and online)
Housing issues
For some people, simply making that first step and getting in touch makes a huge difference. Don't wait until it's too late - get in touch and get some help.
Please get in touch if you need to access the Woughton Advice Service. We run regular sessions at:
Hedgerows Family Centre (Netherfield) - Tuesdays between 10am – 12pm*
Moorlands Family Centre (Beanhill) - Wednesdays 10am – 11am
Youth Advice Café (Coffee Hall, no.95) - Wednesdays (Term-time only) 12pm-1.30pm
