WOUGHTON ADVICE SERVICE
OFFERING 1 to 1 ADVICE ON A RANGE OF SUBJECTS TO RESIDENTS OF THE PARISH
The Woughton Advice Service has been a core service offered for more than 10 years now and in that time has supported thousands of local residents through a range of situations and difficulties.
Our officers always work to empower residents and are here to support individuals to access the resources, people and services needed to successfully resolve their difficulties whilst retaining control.
Whether, you simply need help finding the right person in the right department, need some support making sense of a form or completing it, right through to when a situation may seem completely overwhelming and you are lost for a place to start, our team will do their best to help you to reach your desired outcomes.
Our service is free and completely confidential. Any data collected is with your permission and is stored securely and shared only under the terms you have agreed.
With multiple sessions happening across the parish, spanning up to 6 days per week and various simple ways to contact us, it is easy to get an appointment, and if urgent, we can often either see you or speak with you on the same day (although this cannot be guaranteed).
Our team are experienced and knowledgeable. They are also very well connected, regularly working with other specialist organisations.
So, if we can't help directly, we usually know someone else who can!
WOUGHTON WELLBEING SERVICE
SUPPORTING POSITIVE MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING ACROSS THE PARISH OF WOUGHTON
The wellbeing service is open to all Woughton residents.
Our aim is to be available to support anyone who wants or needs it.
You may be fine but have decided it is time to invest in yourself, do some nice things and want to maintain your positive mental health and wellbeing. It may be that you are feeling lonely or isolated, need to talk something through, are worrying about how to manage, need to share something, (good or bad) or just be around people.
If the thought of joining groups or coming to the community café seems daunting, one of our Wellbeing team can meet up with you first to share what is on. Together you can work out what you would like or need and make a plan to achieve your goals. Our friendly, non-judgemental officers, who have years of experience around mental health, wellbeing and complex issues, may offer some one-to-one support to help you solve a problem or feel able to try new things. They can gently introduce you to opportunities that may help you to resolve what you are dealing with and improve your health & wellbeing. If meeting face to face is too much, we can phone you or talk by email or text. Whatever works for you!
Whether you're really struggling at the moment or just looking for company and some nice things to do, the team can introduce you to opportunities that may help you to resolve what you are dealing with to improve or maintain your health & wellbeing.
We can also refer or signpost to other services if required.

About our Health & Wellbeing Centre (No99)
Situated at No. 99 Jonathans, Coffee Hall. Our new centre is now open and bringing together an offer of Woughton led services, external organisations and community led projects. Each with the over arching aim of supporting residents to access activities and services to develop and improve their physical health, mental health and well-being.
The centre will bring services onto the parish, making them more accessible for residents and as a new purposely designed building, we have worked hard to make it a welcoming, warm and safe space. ABOUT THE COMMUNITY GARDEN
The Wellbeing team work closely with our environment team and often make use of the lovely Community Garden that sits behind Rochfords on Coffee Hall. The Garden is available to those who would like to get involved, perhaps planting, harvesting or composting. But it also provides a calm and welcoming space where you are welcome to simply visit and relax.
