Councillor Phillip Hopcraft

Councillor Hopcraft has lived on Coffee Hall for many years. He enjoys living on the estate and has seen lots of kids growing up into nice adults. Cllr Hopcraft is a lorry driver who enjoys reading, swimming, gym and sitting in the garden. He collects toy trains, trucks and planes and has recently returned from a holiday to India – travel is a passion.
Cllr Hopcraft has been a Councillor since 2017, and is also Assistant Chair of Coffee Hall Residents Association, where he is eager to see people get involved. He has supported trips to Ypres and Dunkirk.
He is passionate about getting issues around fly-tipping and litter sorted – he wants to see Coffee Hall be as nice as possible. His priorities are;
- To reduce Anti-Social Behaviour and inappropriate use of motocross vehicles,
- To reduce speeding.
- To improve parking (including verge parking).
Over the past year, he has undertaken training around GDPR and Community Speedwatch.
Cllr Hopcraft has been involved in:
- Apple day,
- Coffee Hall Fun Day
- Children’s Parade and Remembrance Parade.
He also helped out with the flood on Coffee Hall.
