Full Time Council Manager/Proper Officer

A good opportunity for a progressive manager to lead 32 staff in a local government environment and a Responsible Financial Officer have arisen which shall be located in the Woughton Community Council Hub in Coffee Hall, Milton Keynes.

The successful candidate for the Council Manager’s post shall be responsible for overall management of the staff and activities associated with a progressive forward looking Parish Council serving around 13,000 people with a turnover of £750,000 per annum.

Experience in a management role is essential (especially for the Council Manager Role) along with strong leadership qualities and organisational skills. Understanding of Local Government and a professional qualification such as CiLCA are desirable.  Salary £38,237- £41,967 commensurate with experience for the Council Manager.

Essential Attributes include excellent communication skills, dealing with the citizens of the Woughton Parish area and supporting innovative new services for this exciting but challenging area and working with the elected Councillors to achieve the best for the community. Full Time Responsible Financial Officer/Operations Manager 

The Responsible Financial Officer shall be the leading officer on financial matters, including preparation of budgets and monitoring financial transactions, preparation of payroll, managing the four meeting places and the allocated staff.

An accountancy or finance background is essential for the Responsible Financial Officer Role; the post holder shall also be responsible for procurement and ICT. Salary £34,538 to £37,306 commensurate with experience for the Responsible Finance Manager.

Part Time Play Ranger (10 hours per week)

Part Time Youth Worker (2 hours per week)

Do you want to get involved in the local community? Are you interested in promoting the wellbeing of young people aged 8-19 years? We are looking for someone to join our dedicated youth team. We need someone who is passionate about supporting young people through their adolescent years, whilst enabling their development through recreation, informal learning, sports and social activities. You will need to be genuinely interested in the rights, views and needs of young people, be non-judgemental, patient and have excellent communication skills.
