Welcome to Woughton Advice Service (WAS)

Woughton Advice Service (WAS) was officially opened on 7th January 2014 by (then) Milton Keynes Mayor, Councillor Brian White.

The purpose for the advice service is to provide the residents of Woughton Parish with somewhere to go to get help with any issues they are having, without having to go into the City Centre or waiting long periods of time for an appointment. It is now hugely popular with an average of over 100 visits per month while still ensuring the majority of people are seen on the day they come in.

Meet the team


Martin Leonard

Martin Leonard – Community Advice Officer

Martin joined the WAS team in February 2016. Previously his experience was working in education and has recently completed the International Citizen Service (ICS) programme.

Woughton Advice Service

Mondays – Appointments only at Moorlands Family Centre, Dodkin, Beanhill
Tuesdays and Thursdays – Drop In from 11am to 2pm at Woughton Community Council Offices
Wednesday and Fridays – Appointment only at Woughton Community Council offices
Wednesdays – 10.30am-12pm at Hedgerows Family Centre, Langland Road, Netherfield with Family and Community Officer, Sarah Power 
(term time only)

Computer access Monday – Thursday 2pm-4pm at Woughton Community Council offices

During these times, you are free to drop in and see Martin on a first come, first served basis. If for any reason these times are not suitable, you can call the main office number (01908 395681) and we would be happy to make an appointment with you at a time that is more suitable, or where possible, help you over the phone.
