CHAIRMAN’S REPORT …………………...
Where o where has this year gone? Only seems like yesterday we were getting over hangovers and deliberating over who would be our chosen valentine?
Well, so much has happened, the estates have had their Easter egg hunts and fun days, some have even be lucky enough to have coach trips to the seaside, one even had the seaside brought to them…… We have had the elections for the new term of Parish councillors and some Wards have also had elections for their city councillors.
We celebrated the long service of Councillor Peter Hall who gave over 40 year’s service to Woughton on the Green as a Parish Councillor.
Carnival was again a great success, down to the hard work of our dedicated staff and the groups and schools that entered into the swing of the theme of “the Movies”
Sadly, we lost the Parish Boundary Review and will be saying Good Bye to Woughton-on –the-Green, Woughton Park, and Passmore on March 31st 2012 and, by the time this comes through your door, we will have had the 3rd Charity Winter Ball in aid of Willen Hospice and Age UK, kindly sponsored by Parkside House Hotel, alongside Toastmaster, Garry Smith.
It just leaves me to wish you and all your families and very happy Christmas and a healthy and prosperous new year. We have some hard work ahead of us but if we stay united as a community, we can only make Woughton a better Parish.
