Committee Structure of Council
To the uninitiated the structures of the various tiers of local government can be confusing.
The explanations of the working of committees on this site relate only to the operation of Woughton Community Council. Other parish and town councils may have different methods of carrying out their business.
Woughton Community Council has 5 committees:
Finance and administration
Policy and Communications
Community Development
Scrutiny
Environment

Committees have an annually elected Chairman and Vice Chair.
Each committee has terms of reference and has to produce agenda, minutes and reports to Council.
